A vintage Ford 1938 Model A fire truck from Chicago, USA recently went on a journey that would see it loaded onto a Magma Express B747-400B aircraft and fly across the Atlantic.
The incredible looking fire truck was purchased by a collector who acquired it from a Ford dealer located in Chicago. Having travelled to the dealer to view the fire truck, the buyer made the decision to go ahead and buy it then and there. It was then moved by truck to Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) and from there it flew to Frankfurt – Hahn Airport (HHN).
Once it arrived at Frankfurt airport, it had to go through customs where it was cleared. The fire engine then continued its journey by truck to Hamburg where it forms part of the owner’s vintage car collection.
